Dufour’s porchetta is made from high quality porcelet and a fine selection of herbs and spices like fresh garlic, thyme and rosemary offering a unique flavor and texture. Upon receiving, keep refrigerated. Remove from the bag and carefully wipe away the excess of cooking juice and gelatin which you can use in a sauce or just discard it.

Since it was cooked in a net to hold it together, please remove it before slicing or re-heating.

Reheating instructions:
If you wish to warm it up to make a beautiful roasted porchetta, preheat your oven at 350 F. Remove the net and place the porchetta on a rack in a baking dish and roast for about 1hr to 1 1/2hr. When you have a nice brown and crispy skin, it is ready to be served!

*Heating time will vary depending on your oven and the size of the porchetta.

1: What cut of meat is porchetta made from?
Porchetta is traditionally made from pork belly. However, we used the shoulder cut from a milk-fed porcelet sourced from a small family farm in Canada, ensuring the highest quality and delicious taste. Our team prepares a flavorful mix of spices and herbs, place it onto the cut meat, roll it and cook it at low temperature for several hours.

2: How do I eat porchetta?
Italians typically enjoy porchetta in various ways. It can be served thinly sliced in sandwiches or pizza, often accompanied by crusty bread and pickled vegetables. Additionally, it can be served as a main dish alongside roasted vegetables or as part of a charcuterie board. Finally, it can be roasted in the oven to make its skin nicely brown and crispy which will offer you a beautiful and special centerpiece for your meal!

3: What does porchetta taste like?
Porchetta has a rich and savory flavor profile with a combination of herbs and spices that vary depending on the recipe. The meat is tender and juicy, while the skin, when roasted, becomes crispy, providing a delightful contrast in texture.

4: How long can I store Dufour's porchetta?
Dufour's porchetta is fully cooked and ready to eat. Upon receiving, it should be kept refrigerated. It is recommended to consume it within 7-10 days for optimal freshness.

5: Is Dufour's porchetta gluten-free?
Yes, the porchetta is gluten-free as it does not contain any added gluten ingredients. However, it's always a good idea to check the ingredient list if you have any specific dietary concerns.
